About Ann

Ann Peterson has thrived on opportunities to travel as a volunteer and explore with her camera. She founded MUNDO IMAGES in 2007, an eco-friendly greeting card company featuring her photographs. Her colorful, eco-friendly greeting cards are shipped to independent gift shops throughout North America.

Ann’s desire to interpret the world through photography and share her vision with others is her true passion. In addition to her cards, her photographs have been featured in several galleries in Buffalo, as well as Spain, Costa Rica and New England. As a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, she participates in a variety of art exhibits and art festivals. Embracing non-traditional techniques such as intentional camera movement and multiple exposures has influenced Ann to continue her path of exploration and discovery, as she creates how a scene feels, rather than how it appears.

Currently living in Buffalo, NY, Ann has also lived in Spain, Ireland, England, and Costa Rica. Her childhood led her to develop a passion for travel, photography and the Spanish language. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art and a Master’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature, Ann taught English in Europe and Central America and Spanish in the United States. Her love of language and communication can be found in her frequent use of quotes with her images.
